LaVonna has trained with prominent hair designers at the Redken Exchange and Bumble and bumble in New York, and she keeps her skills sharp through continuing education held throughout the United States, including Nick Arrojo's Design Team. Penny Strasser-Tuckel is the Manager and a Master Designer with Color Studio, a full service Bumble & bumble salon. Penny's flair as a Master Designer radiates her high educational goals and achievements.
Penny travels several times throughout the year to learn the latest trends straight from the runway. She attends professional seminars, most notably Bumble & bumble university, the chic program featured only in New York City. Penny also enriches her talents by participating in the conference sponsored by the Redken Exchange in New York City, America's hub for swank style. She is a Signature Vidal Sassoon graduate. Vidal Sassoon graduates are regarded as experts within the color design industry because of the challenging nature of the course curriculum.

Alicia has built her business by cultivating relationships with her guests and giving them a look that brings out their true beauty from the inside out. Each person deserves the opportunity to have an amazing experience at Color Studio, and Alicia makes this happen! She tries her best to please guests to the best of her abilities.
Her commitment to continuing education is evident - over the past few years, she has attended the Redken Exchange in New York City, the Redken Symposium in Las Vegas, the Board Certified Colorist Energizing Summit in Los Angeles and the Midwest Beauty Show in Chicago. She also continues her Bumble and bumble education here in Lawrence from her Bb Educator Penny Strasser –Tuckel.
Free time is spent reading, spending time with family and friends, dancing and traveling. Alicia also is thrilled to be a Les Mills certified BodyFlow and BodyPump instructor. Her work as an instructor enables her to provide a holistic workout to women that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance. She also is planning on getting her personal training certification soon. Alicia welcomes conversations with Spanish-speaking guests. Simply let us know if you have those needs.

Emily’s passion is creating new looks for people, but her heart is centered on helping her guests leave the salon with a new level of confidence. Since graduating in 2004, Emily has built her business by taking the time to get to know her guests and what looks would best enhance their natural beauty.
The continuing education she receives at Color Studio also enhances her abilities as a growing and talented stylist who can create beautiful looks for her guests. To continue offering her guests the latest techniques and trends in hair, Emily attends shows and workshops throughout the year. She recently attended Redken Exchange in New York.
In her free time, this young and vibrant newlywed enjoys decorating her home, being outside, working out and spending time with her husband and new daughter, Addison.

Her specialties include haircoloring and razor cuts, and she can add allure to your appearance by updating your look and into a beautiful new style.

Brienne graduated from Pinnacle Career Institute and instantly enjoyed the pleasure of meeting so many new and interesting people and helping them feel better through massage. It is this mindset that strongly contributes to her unwavering desire to help others in a natural, meaningful and compassionate way. She also holds true to her belief that that mind/body balance is the key to whole health.
Brienne strives to encourage this balance in each guest by providing massage therapy that not only decreases pain and muscle tension, but also results in increased emotional balance and relaxation.
In her free time, Brienne enjoys spending time with friends, spending time outdoors, watching movies, playing pool and boxing. She also enjoys photography. She hopes to see you soon on your journey to greater balance and health!

Dixie Woltkamp comes to Color Studio with more than 20 years of experience in the skin care industry. During her tenure as a skin specialist, she has worked in the medical field and has owned multiple salons. Her desire to craft her trade in the skin care business has become her calling. Facials and skin repair are learned, but the art of helping someone relax comes from being a people person. Her philosophy is that the skin's condition is a reflection of internal health, and she strives to provide each client superior personalized treatment in a relaxing and healing environment while enhancing each individual's natural beauty.
Dixie uses the latest innovative technologies and products addressing every skin care concern from acne to aging. Furthermore, she will provide each client with education on home care and product usage to ensure their satisfaction and continues to pursue the highest degree of education and update her credentials in all fields of esthetics. She looks forward to serving Color Studio guests and considers her field of expertise a gift she can give to others. Helping her guests develop an understanding of their skin care needs and, as a result, an increased level of self confidence, is what keeps Dixie inspired.

Cheri Proffitt began her career as a certified massage therapist seven years ago after earning her Masters Degree in Health Psychology from NAU and her Certified Massage Therapist certification from the Arizona School of Integrative Studies.
Her extensive experience in the field of massage therapy includes working in the Sedona area for 7 years
and in a spa that was rated the “No. 1 Destination Spa in the World” by Travel & Leisure 2009. Cheri specializes in Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy and Myofascial release techniques, which are specifically helpful to release past physical traumas and holding patterns from muscle tissue and connective tissue.
Cheri thoroughly enjoys massage therapy and working with people to alleviate stress or challenges from injuries or muscle pulls. Her goal, with her easy-going and fun demeanor, is to simply help people feel better and more relaxed! Her greatest strength is in knowing how to reach results the best and most efficient way possible: by getting to the root of your problem rather than just providing temporary relief.

As guest service manager, Madison works to ensure that your time spent with us at Color Studio is the most relaxing, comfortable and friendly atmosphere that any of us on staff would expect to receive.
Together, working with Color Studio's technicians, Madison strives to provide the highest quality of customer service you deserve. She enjoys working with a fast-paced team of talented technicians who like to express themselves and have fun.
One of the biggest rewards is seeing guests' remarkable transformations. Guests leave Color Studio excited about their new looks, and Madison enjoys providing all guests with the same excellent experience every time they come into the salon.
As a full-time mother of two, Madison enjoys bike riding with her family, going out to eat and serving as a group fitness instructor in her free time.
